Finally a picture of the long-awaited teeth!

Auntie Kaitlin babysat ALL weekend so Dan and I could go to Harrisonburg for our belated anniversary celebration.  I love this picture she snapped of the new tuskies!  And overalls.

9 months!

I have a giant child.

He is:

• Obsessed with this cup
• The proud owner of two bottom teeth! Finally!
• Eating everything!  The doctor gave us permission to feed him everything we eat (with the exception of honey) and, man, does he love to eat what we eat.  He continues to work on feeding himself but refuses to hold the bottle or sippy cup.  I will be a happy mama when he figures that out.

• Pulling himself up on everything!  So we've had to lower the crib to the very lowest setting because I am paranoid he is going to suddenly figure out how to launch that giant gourde out on to the floor.
• Touching. Everything.
• Eating. Everything. (he loves shoes - ick!)
• Sporting a fresh haircut!  Dad gave him his first REAL haircut with the buzzer thingy.  The first two were just with kitchen scissors.  We had a few uber bald spaces and a quasi-fade happening on the left side, but I think we've got it now.

• Pretty awesome at face grabbing and "kissing" which is technically him coming full force at your chin with his mouth wide open.  But I like to think he's trying to give a delicate little smooch.

• Officially a Renn Fest baby!

• Totally entranced by Dr. Mario.  How embarrassing!  Who would be obsessed with this silly little game?

• Looking like SUCH a big boy!  Check him out in the waiting room of the doctors office.

I love this little creature more than anything in the world.

8 months!

In the past month we've:

• Started crawling! 
• Tasted everything.  No, really.  Everything goes in the mouth.
• Been reaching to be picked up.  Mostly by mom and dad.
• Started babbling and saying "Dad Dad Dad Dad!"
• Been giving lots of precious"hugs."
• Poked the heck out of both ears.  So much so that we earned a trip to the doctor to make sure all was okay.  Turns out we're on the way to a tooth for realz.
• Tipped the scales at 24 lbs 8 oz.
• Enjoyed grabbing for wires.  Which has inspired short bursts of baby proofing around the house. But we've got a lot more yet to do!
• Been working on our pincher grasp!  We're close!  But those dang poofs are sticky.
• LOVED walking with the assistance of anyone who will hold his hands :)

The best solution for a fussy baby who is potentially teething.  Oh please please let this be teething.

Florida - a Trip of "Firsts!"

This trip happened back in May.  I am just now getting around to posting pictures.  Whoopsie.

We flew down on Mother's Day.  My gift was a peaceful baby for the entire ride.

The next day we hit up Epcot!  Holy cow is that place fun.

First picture with a Disney character!  And man is he excited.

First amusement park ride!

Kaitlin and Aubrey arrived the next day and we spent some time at the pool!  For the first time!

Then it was off to Sea World with our friends from Germany, Phil and Sabrina.  Congrats to the two of them on their engagement that happened just a few days before!

Again, excitement galore.

Then the entire family headed to Venice to visit Aunt Bonye, Uncle Glenn, Grandma, and Grandpa!
